The Significance of Damp Proofing

Damp proofing is quintessential if you live in a humid region or there is sufficient precipitation. Low lying areas, properties near water bodies and places where the groundwater reserve is not at much depth will also demand damp proofing. Damp or moisture trapped in the walls, floors, ceilings and the roof can lead to many problems. The plaster crumbling or the paint flaking are only cosmetic issues. There are much more serious concerns and potential consequences. Wooden walls can rot. Foundations may become weaker.
